BUS-40 Improvement Project

Pro Realty Group wants you to know about the Interstate 40 Business ( BUS-40 ) improvement project in Winston Salem NC, a two year construction overhaul of a major artery of traffic in the Winston Salem area. Also known as a section of Highway 421 (HWY-421) , BUS-40 connects the downtown area of Winston Salem to Interstate 40 (I-40 ) in the east towards Greensboro and the western side of Winston Salem towards Clemmons NC. I-40 connects the Winston Salem are to Greensboro, Durham , and Raleigh in the east and Statesville , Hickory , and Asheville in the west. Highway 52 (HWY-52) bisects BUS-40 traveling North through Mt Airy to Virginia and South to Lexington, Salisbury, and I-85 towards Charlotte.

BUS-40 is an integral part of the Winston Salem area roads and transportation system not only connecting the city with the surrounding area, but also connecting the city together. Both major health care facilities Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and Novant's Forsyth Hospital are adjacent to BUS-40 in Winston Salem. Much of the major shopping in Winston Salem is also located near BUS-40 both downtown, along Stratford Rd, and Hanes Mall Rd. BUS-40 also bisects some of the most sought after neighborhoods in Winston Salem due to their convenient locations including Buena Vista , Ardmore , Sherwood , Downtown , and West Salem.
